My search for a good acoustic guitar for my nieces son started one day after she had called for my guitar purchasing advice. Being quite tall, I assumed that he could easily handle a 000 concert guitar, or even a full-sized dreadnought. As it turns out, the budget for a guitar was set at no more than $500. So after trying out several acoustics that met this criteria, I finally decided on the Big Baby dreadnought offered by Taylor Guitars. Taylor advertises this guitar as a 15/16 reduced sized guitar. But that did not concern me in the least. A few fantastic features of this guitar is that technically it is a travel guitar, in that the neck comes off very easily. It can then be packed or toted very easily, and he could bring it to college in a few years too.
